Lantern Festival

A quick piece of fan art-ish work. I made this for a workshop - on Blender to Davinci Resolve workflow - for our school's SIGGRAPH chapter. Therefore the scene was made in Blender with geo-scatter and then exported as AgX_Log and color-graded in DaVinci Resolve. I made the whole sky full of laterns by using some pretty simple geometry nodes in Blender, simply scattering point cloud in a volume and assigning a geometry to each point. Because a main point of the workshop is to demonstrate color-grading in Davinci Resolve, I also made two color-grading versions.

For a long time, I've had the idea that I want to make a scene full of rising laterns in the sky in the time of the Chinese Latern Festival, so I'm pretty happy for finally making something out of it!
